Dream Interpretation of Snow: Purity & New Beginnings

Ibn Sirin says: Snow in a dream indicates goodness and mercy if it is in its time and in the amount needed. It is a good omen of sustenance, blessings, and joy. However, if the snow is falling heavily or causing harm or hindering movement, then it is a warning of the coming of tribulation, trials, and calamities. It may indicate the wrath of God or drought and famine. Whoever sees himself eating snow in a dream, he will gain benefit or earn lawful money through effort and hard work. Accumulated snow may indicate the dreamer's long life or the accumulation of debts upon him.

Ibn Sirin adds that snow may symbolize coldness and emotional or spiritual stagnation, especially if the dreamer feels lonely and isolated in the dream. He should examine his relationship with God and his connection with others, and strive for repentance and reform before it is too late. Snow is a reminder of God's ability to change circumstances and the vicissitudes of time, and a person must be prepared for whatever God decrees for him.

It is narrated from Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) that seeing snow in a dream indicates several things, including: sustenance and blessing if it is in its time, and trials and calamities if it is abundant and harmful. It may also indicate freezing of emotions or loss of the ability to express oneself. Whoever sees snow falling gently on him will enjoy tranquility and comfort in his life. But whoever sees the snow causing him harm should be cautious and pray to God to ward off affliction.
