Dream Interpretation of Tongue: Communication and Truth

Ibn Sirin interprets the tongue as a man's spokesperson and the manager of his affairs. Its beauty, length, and eloquence signify strength in argument and victory over enemies. However, an excessively long tongue may indicate obscenity or interfering in matters that do not concern the dreamer. If the tongue appears severed, it suggests an inability to provide evidence, a loss of livelihood, or practicing restraint and silence in the face of conflict. It essentially represents the dreamer's tool for social and legal survival.

Al-Nabulsi views the tongue as an instrument of both corruption and righteousness. Hair growing on the tongue warns of imminent evil or discord caused by the dreamer's speech. Possessing multiple tongues signifies an increase in knowledge, wealth, and the ability to persuade in various languages.
