Dream Interpretation of Bees: Industry & Community

Ibn Sirin says: Seeing bees in a dream indicates goodness, blessings, and lawful sustenance. If a person sees that he is collecting honey from bees, this indicates that he will obtain a great deal of money and benefit from his work. However, if he sees bees stinging him, this may be a warning from some enemies or competitors who are trying to harm him. Seeing bees may also indicate beneficial knowledge and wisdom.

He added: Bees in a dream may also refer to soldiers or workers who work hard and systematically, and it indicates a cooperative and productive society. If the dreamer sees a crowded beehive, this is good news of prosperity and flourishing in his life. As for killing bees in a dream, it is an omen of misfortune that indicates loss or failure in some endeavor. And God knows best.

Al-Nabulsi interpreted seeing bees in a dream as an indication of a just ruler or king, and of a cooperative group that works hard and sincerely. Bees indicate good and lawful sustenance and blessings in money and children. Whoever sees a bee entering his house will attain goodness and blessings in his house and family. As for whoever sees that he is running away from bees, he fears the ruler or is afraid of responsibility.

He also mentioned that a bee sting in a dream may be a sign of obtaining a small benefit, or it indicates hurtful words from a person in authority. Killing bees indicates harming those who are weaker than you. As for eating honey extracted from bees, it indicates obtaining lawful money in easy and accessible ways.

It was narrated from Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) in the interpretation of seeing bees that it indicates six aspects: a just ruler, lawful sustenance, scholars and wise men, soldiers and military personnel, goodness and blessing, and perfect work. Whoever sees bees in his dream should look at the context of the vision and the accompanying events, to know which of these aspects is the closest to interpreting his vision.
